Movement. And Texture. This happens when you have a hair style, and not just a hair cut.

2015 – Upgrade Your Look
Bring on the New Years Resolutions, Affirmations, Goals, etc. It’s 2015 (holy crap it’s January) and while many will take on some sort of dieting/weight loss benchmark, we would also like to remind you that looking good isn’t just about what weight you are. Don’t forget your makeup and HAIR obviously have a huge impact on the way you look and ultimately feel about yourself. We at Mane Interest believe there is at the very least a correlation if not a direct relationship between having a gorgeous mane and an increase in confidence. No, we don’t have some scientific study to back up this statement, but whatever, do we really need one? Take care of yourself and your hair and find out for yourself if you feel better.
To start of 2015 with some appropriate inspiration, here’s a refreshing before and after by hair stylist Marnie, based out of The Fox and The Hair Salon in Wollongong, Australia. Before was over processed and just, well, bad. After is so much better – shiny, healthy, and gorgeous.
Ombre Done Right
Doing ombre correctly is all about the blend. The gradual lightening should appear as if it grew out that way, and not that someone processed it. This ombre done right color is by Sarah Armstrong out of the Hair By Design Salon in Mount Eliza, Australia.
From Blonde to Brunette
Who doesn’t love a great before and after pic? The bigger the change, the better, right? Nice before and after work by hair stylist Brianna Rice, based out of Los Angeles (Encino) at the Butterfly Loft Salon.
Lived In Hair
The hair stylist famous for making a fresh haircut seem effortlessly sexy, like you’ve had this hair your whole life, has officially trademarked the term ‘Lived In Hair®’. No seroiously, ‘Lived In Hair®’ is a registered trademark with the United States Patent and Trademark Office. Anh Co Tran, co-owner of Ramirez Tran Salon in Los Angeles, has been blogging the ‘Lived In Hair®’ look for years now on both long and short styles alike. Not sure exactly what ‘Lived In Hair®’ is? Go to Anh’s blog and you’ll soon find out. Officially coining the sultry ‘Lived In Hair®’ look, it only makes sense too that Anh Co Tran is also hair stylist to possibly the sexiest actress/model of the moment right now Emily Ratajkowski.

This Brunette
This brunette is subtly sunkissed yet has enough richness and depth so it is a perfect transitional shade from fall to winter. Hair color by Marissa Mae out of the Republic Salon & Blow Out Bar in Folsom, CA.
Colorist Cherin Choi
Let’s face it – you know good work when you see it. Take a look at the shades being done by colorist Cherin Choi, who is based out of the Ramirez Tran Salon in Los Angeles. Also known via social media as ‘Mizz Choi’, this talented hair stylist has perfected the process of making your color treated hair appear as if you somehow naturally ‘grew’ this shade yourself, fading highlights out with more emphasis at the ends. Take a look for yourself from this before and after – and follow Mizz Choi on her Instagram account for more hair inspiration.
